The new apprentices are starting their training at different locations and in different departments of the two companies, with a conscious focus on in-house training. This offers young people in the region attractive prospects and at the same time secures the skilled labor base in Lower Austria in the long term. “Especially in times of skilled labor shortages, it is particularly important to us to promote young talent at an early stage and offer them the best development opportunities,” says Carmen Brandl, Apprentice Management & Human Resources Development at Neuman Aluminium and PREFA.
The Welcome Day offered the new apprentices a structured introduction: in addition to a welcome from the training managers, the program included a company presentation, safety training, and an introduction to the youth council and works council.
A tour of the company rounded off the day and gave the apprentices a first glimpse of their future workplaces.
The four apprentices who had already started their apprenticeships earlier this year were also invited to the Welcome Day.
Neuman Aluminium and PREFA are committed to supporting their apprentices with dedication and motivation. “We wish our apprentices lots of fun, exciting experiences, and a successful training period,” said the apprentice training team.
